(Gerrit^4, Evert^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was b. abt 1762 in Jamaica, Queens, NY. He married Geertye Lott (b. abt 1766) in 1787 in Jamaica, Queens, NY. Gerrit died 31 October 1830 at age 68 yr. Geertye died before 5 December 1794.

Children: Hendrick^6 Van Wicklen, b. 1788 and bap. 18 January 1789, Jamaica RDC, Queens, NY (died before 1790); Phebe^6 Van Wicklen, b. 1789 and bap. 17 February 1790, Jamaica RDC. She d. 27 October 1813. She married Winant Ferdinand Bennet in February 1809; Catherine^6 Van Wicklen, b. 1792, Newtown and bap. 9 December 1792, Newtown, NY. She married Samuel Eldert, Jr. on 27 June 1818. She died 15 November 1827 at age 35. Hendrick Lott Van Wicklen, b. 1794 and bap. 5 December 1794 in Jamaica RDC, Queens, NY. He d. 30 September 1836. LIFarmer Thursday 4 Nov 1830. Dead at Jamaica South on Sunday last, mr. Garret Van Wicklen, aged 68 "Uniformly a respectable inhabitant." LI Star 10 November 1830

Gritman 2719 his will - 26 September 1828/10 Jan 1831 Q Co G:56. Gave to son Hendrick Lott Van Wicklen "my farm lying along the middle road that leads to Beaver Pond adjoining my brother Derick Van Wicklen's land and land of my brother John Van Wicklen." Also 1/2 of the house and other bldgs where I now dwell with my brother John Van Wicklen. "Two my two grandchildren, the children of Samuel Eldert--namely Garret Van Wicklen Eldert and Caroline Eldert" a small farm adj'g Spring Creek and each $500 when of age. "to my two grandchildren the children of Wynant Bennet namely Ferdinand and Gittian Bennet" etc. (Sawyer's abstc 3:22 exrs son Hendrick Lott Van Wicklen, Stephen H. Lott, and Abraham Smith--brother John Van Wicklen, a witness.

Ferdinand Bennet of Flatbush made his will 12 May 1809 (KCo Abstr 3-202) excrs incl his friend Garret Van Wickelen. Appears on 1788 Jamaica tax list as Garret Van Wicklen Jr, pers est L25
